tiger seal is amazing i put my spoiler on with it just put it on line the spoiler up and hold it down having two people helps for lining up etc and when you have it on one person holds and the other wipes excess off otherwise its there for good.

Now I'm thinking about it I could probably just tigerseal it with someone who has done it before and then just physically hold both sides flush until the tigerseal holds itself. Could work out ok ... ...

Drilling really would be a huge pain in the a**e.

So you need to bolt it down to pull the spoiler flush to the car?

You'll need to screw the window side hole in first to hold it in place, then the other one to pull the spoiler down.

With lining up, all i can say is good luck!

Mask the paint you are drilling, and drill slowly as this will prevent the paint from flaking, then touch up the exposed paint to prevent the rust.

Boltings just gonna be a ball ache, I'm sure it will look fine. Imo just tigerseal it

It's not as much the safety issue it's more that as it's warped to a minor degree when the left side is in position to be glued the right does not sit the same on the right side, it's raised slightly. ( its not totally f?!ked, just slightly warped)

So I was thinking bolting it will ensure both side are fully flush and in line if you can picture what I'm poorly describing lol

Tiger seal FTW, used it to attach some splitters to a bumper. 12 months later jumping on them did not loosen the stuff...

Hey guys I've spent the past week spraying and preparing my gti spoiler I got from Uz a few weeks ago.

Now I am a the stage to actually fit the spoiler but when I put it up to the car it's not going to fit perfectly as it seems to be the tiniest bit warped to some degree ( as in when one side of the spoiler is flush with where it connects to the car the other side is raised slightly, only 4-5 mm at most). If it was solely glued not bolted it may not stick done completely flush so I want to bolt it too (and an extra precaution for the motorway incase it flies off lol).

I was leaning towards fitting it with bolts as well as tigerseal but I'm not sure how best to go about it. Glueing I understand no worries from the guide on here but I'm not sure at all how to go about bolting it on,

Any tips or advice or pics especially are much appreciated, hoping to do it Sunday on my day off if I can get together what I need, or find a willing accomplice.

Thanks again.
