I have tried to load the document on a "How to" page but cannot find out how it's done???
See latest How to entry for 206.
Any advice would be appreciated. |

Posting the write-up as a HOW-TO would be extremely useful! |

Anyone with same query contact me, seagull104. I've done it. It took me several days and I have done many before!!! But this car is different. I have done a detailed write-up including use of Haynes. |

This siunds really sill but im a beginner lol so what do you mean by get the head skimmed? Thanks |
Take it to a cylinder head specalists / engineering shop & get the surface of the cylinder head skimmed perfectly flat.
Unless the cylinder head & engine block mating surfaces are perfectly flat / within spec the new head gasket can fail again pretty quickly. |

Its a job certain people could easily do in a couple of evenings after work.
Take it apart one evening, drop it of for skimming next morning, pick it up in the afternoon then put it back together that evening. |
only if you got every tools in hand..
and wonder how much does it cost to get it skimmed |

8 valve petrol TU headgasket is pretty simple to do.
Just remember to get the head skimmed & replace the timing belt kit at the same time!
Get yourself a Haynes manual & buy / borrow a suitable torque wrench. |
