Sorry to hear that! Try topping the coolant up as im sure i read low coolant can cause this.
My car literally only had the flowing water sound, the coolant didnt seem to go down quickley. Take it t ... |

When the garage near me suspected my bearing had gone (it hadnt thank god) they quoted me around £150ish just for that so ~£200 seems correct.
I always get a quote first. Saves any nasty shocks ... |

I had this problem on another car and sprayed some WD40 on the belt. This stopped it for a few seconds. Although not a fix it helped diagnose where the problem lay! |

Have not specifically had tracking looked at no, didnt think it would cause vibration.
Gunna get it all done after the bank holiday (rotate wheel, balance, tracking) and see if it helps. Thanks! |

Ok. suspension was apparently also checked but i will deffo get it placed to the back just to try and rule other things out.
Hopefully its just because its a cheap/defective tyre |

Just picked my car up, new head gasket fitted.
I can confirm the noise has gone completely, the mechanic explained pretty much what was said in the last couple of posts. |

Check my thread. I had same noise when pulling off/accelerating (usually around 2000 rpm). Garage claim blown headgasket!!! Still getting fixed so will have to see if this cures it.

Took it to a garage today, their diagnosis: the head gasket has gone!!! Whether this is the cause of the water sound or the noise is a symptomn they didnt say and as it hasnt been fixed yet i dunno if ... |

Read elsewhere it could be an airlock in tge cooling system. Does that sound possible? |
