Could be your CV joint (constant velocity joint)
Check how the wishbone looks too, turn the wheel full lock to the appropriate side. Does it clunk when stationary? |

A new gearbox is the only thing I can suggest, take it down to your garage and get a second opinion though (not a cowboy garage, mind) |
