Is it possible that an ECU reset could cure this, and is it worth doing anyway seeing as it is so easy to do ?  |

Tried that, but now noticed the revs go up and down if I open the throttle a bit when stationary. If I try and hold the revs on 2000 for instance, they go to 2500, back to 1500, back to 2500 and so on ... |

Checked Fuel Pump and Ignition Multi-Relay underneath the ECU. Found that it had a hole in it where it had broken off its mounting lug. It was full of water. Just bought a new one (Dealer only !! £42 ... |

Need to check the Fuel Pump Relay. They're known to be dodgy. Noticed a ticking from what I thought was the ECU. Apparently the Relay is underneath it. Would make sense because I dont think the ECU is ... |

You could well be right SDK206. I will check it with my multimeter tomorrow if there's enough in the battery to register,otherwise I'll have to charge it again first.
