If you can get the filter out i've read that it can be steam cleaned then once dry put back on the car, the other way is to take it out some people literally just remove the filter and leave it like t ... |

If the fan is going when you stop the car is regenerating the filter this is normal.
Do you do alot of small trips if so that will block the filter quicker mine now only gets used for long trips and ... |
