Pump the primer bulb thats to the left of the air filter (big oblong box thing).
While doing that look at the clear section of pipe that connects to it.
As you pump, look for any air bubbles.

157k miles on my 1.4 hdi (58 plate)
Other halfs 206 sw 1.4 petrol has 141k miles (53 plate)

Check the fuel lines for holes, the ones under the air filter.
Pump the primer bulb, if you see bubbles, that's air in the lines.
