Quick question about the slave cylinder, if I let it extend out will the piston pop out or is it held in by a circlip to stop it from popping out?

Isn't the slave cylinder bolted to the engine block?

Does the cylinder get in the way at all?

Only genuine MAF's should be used all others are rubbish and go faulty quickly.

To see if it is the MAF at fault unplug it (not with the engine running) and go for a drive and see if it happens. Wh ...

It all seems to working ok.

The other halfs not so happy now as her sub and amp were stolen.

The strange thing is there was no damage done to the car. All the locks are fine and no punched hole in the door skin.

Yes this will stop the cable going live, as a live to the pump will activate the clutch and start the pump.

I would suggest getting the car pressure checked.

I'm not sure but I think you need some pressure in the air con pipes before you get power to the clutch on the pump.
