Cheers Iain. Wheels coming off. Just removed the gti steering wheel so thats back to standard. Just have to wait and see what they offer me now. Hdi`s quite hard to find up here. Glas say dealer price ... |

Should I take those alloys offand put my stellies back on. The insurance company say they will take things like alloys into account for an offer but I can see it myself. |

I put the old bearing inner piece in. Stuck a socket so it fitted on the race and belted the hell out of it. Took some hammering and it split the reace but out it came. I then used the old outer race ... |

I used a dremmel with cutting disc to cut the snap ring into 3 sections. Then it just fell out |

I looked into this (but not too deeply). As stated above the issue is replacing the shafts the bearings sit on. I found a company that sold new bearings and shafts but they had no idea how to replace ... |

Before you start the car have you looked for bubbles by operating the priming bulb. Have you checked the fuel pipes under the airbox. |
