Got some bits off a 2002 five door or may have been an estate at a scrappy in Devizes last week. That had the same black leather as in my CC.

Having taken the steering wheel off, opened up the 'comms' unit to remove the indicator/trip computer stalk and put it all back together it still didn't work!

Found the problem!
Took the end of the stalk and it came out with the ribbon cable which was not plugged in!
So I have taken the shroud off the steering wheel, but now cannot see how to get the ... |

The 6 series was not automatic either. It drove me nuts having to hold the button to get the roof up and down. It can now safely be used up to 35 mph with one ... |
