Today on motorway car seemed to completley lose power for a split second the engine check light flashed on then went off and car continued normally.

I have tried to follow fuel lines from tank to under bonnet and cant see a filter at all. There is a filter on the pick up in the tank, under back seat. I cant seem to undo the retaining ring on this ...

My girlfriends 2002 1.1 has developed starting issues.

Everytime it is started it turns over more than normal before firing and when it does it runs on 3 cylinders for a few seconds.
