If the 2 pin airbag connector isn't plugged in to the back of the airbag it cant fire - make sure you isolate / insulate any bare wires so they cannot touch each other / anything metal.

Nether of those pictured - those our both clip on type multiplexed steering wheels.

A 1998 built 206 will be a SCREW on airbag type / non multiplexed steering wheel.

It maybe able to be flashed with another tool to rewrite engine ecu software from something like a 307 with the same engine but I've never attempted it so more research will be needed online.

IIRC as its been a few years since I tinkered with 206s & Planet - some of the engine ecu fitted to the 206 had the cruise control function locked out in the engine ecu software so it couldn't be enab ...

1.6 XS was a TU engine.

The 2 litre GTI was an EW engine.

Gearbox & subframe are different for a start.

JBL audio upgrade, don't see many of those fitted to the 206.

I have JBL audio upgrade in my C-HR & the sub is mounted in exactly the same place in the boot.

Only ever seen 1 fuel tank strap fitted on a 206 - they are a common failure, they where cheap new from Peugeot back in the day.

Both 206 I owned I had to replace the tank strap on.
