After giving the car a good old run the Anti-pollution fault has cleared itself. With any luck it was just a dirty sensor or something. Thanks again guys |

Friend of mine stripped back the cable that connects chassis to gearbox and connected a new lug. Removed the bolt holding existing lug to gear box and connected both old and new lug b ... |

Gearbox to earth cable is broken at the lug. (Like it was pulled out and was laying on top with what must have been 1 strain of wire connecting it)
Time to get a replacement and get it swapped.

I have half a tank at the moment, so gas is fine.
Just bought a new battery and after fitting it I still cannot start. Getting issues similar to when I took the battery out to charge.
