I always find that putting in some redex fuel treatment, topping it up with V power or the likes, then taking the car for a good spanking sorts out the emissions. |

Reason i have asked this question is as stated above.The price difference between a drum and disc axle.
My local scrappies want £200 for a disc axle or £150 for a drum axle.Now the other scrappie ... |

Ive done it before with a Saxo axle.Got a drum axle, and switched all my stuff over from a disc axle.Only takes about 30mins.
Stub axles can be removed and changed too.

Could everything from a GTi abs rear axle be switched over onto say a drum rear axle without abs??
Are they both the same when bare?? |

Not sure on the paint code as i couldn't find it on the car (iirc its supposed to be on the pillar inside the drivers door).
Fife Auto Paints matched it up with the paint cards. |

Mercury Grey is a facelift colour and is more of a bluey grey.Local scrappies has 1 in which i got the P2 boot strip off and its a different colour.So had to get a spray can made up which confirmed it ... |

Its definetly Storm Grey.Has it on the owners manual, and the local paint suppliers matched the paint up as Storm Grey with a prefect colour match. |
