Check your top mount bolts are tight! Had this on mine. Changed bottom arms and it turned out to be loose bolts!!! Doh.

Got it sorted, managed to get the offending bolt out and replace it with a washer fitted aswell and all is good now!

Got a rattling heat shield on the manifold of my gti 180. Bolts are too corroded to tighten. Has anyone just removed the heat shield without any issues?

Done this twice now in the past week. Comes up with engine immobiliser fault, it cranks over but won't start. The first time I left it for 10mins and it started fine. Did it again on my driveway tonig ...
