Hello I have done a search but cant seem to find the answer
Since changing the headunit the mileage has disappeared all im getting is a spanner sign & 704 which I guessing is a service overdue.

If you can get hold of a code reader plug it in and see what faults come up ,Maplins sell one for a reasonable price . |

The petrol theory sounds like a load of rubbish to be honest
White smoke /steam suggest water is getting in , take off the air intake system make sure the air filter isnt wet the missus had a sim ... |

rumbling around the wheel area usually suggests a wheel bearing needs changing . |

I would say its a faulty sender unit in the tank ,in my opinion not worth the ball ache to fix . |

just be gentle getting them out spray a little wd40 in there 1st , as i recently changed the plugs on the missus car ,i dont reckon they were ever changed as they were very stiff and in a bad state ,a ... |

I would start with the gearbox oil its not a major job if you have a bit of mechanical knowledge and should cost not more than 20£ if u do it yourself .i have read somewhere the auto gearbox ... |

I done this recently its not too difficult takes about half hour 3 bulbs in there
Might be worth putting led bulbs in so you wont have to replace them again .i think the originals were 286 capless bu ... |
