Thanks for that. The wiring diagram shows no correlation between the ESP dash light and the ABS system when ESP is not installed. Both connect to the BSI module which under these circumstances is my m ... |

The ABS system is not involved in this. It's the ESP/ASR light which is showing. I have ABS but not ESP. |

I've reset the BSI four times which of course includes dis/reconnecting the battery in careful sequence, but no luck. I've not tried potholes though which may be a last resort especially as there plen ... |

Bit of a weird one. The ESP/ASR light comes on at half-strength when the electrics wake up e.g. on unlocking the car with the fob, or after sitting in the car waiting for 3 minutes for power to go off ... |
