All done now, the bearing had destroyed itself which in turn stuff the pressure plate also damaging the sleeve that goes into gear box

iv had a couple of prices for clutches to be fitted, cheapest was £215 but the one going to get booked in with is £225 using genuine clutch kit. is that a good price?

thanks for your imput guys. Its typical the MOT is due hence new wishbones and the goddamn clutch stuffs up... its the wifey's car but iv said id pay :((( how foolish am I.

Firstly today I changed the n/s wishbone, as the balljoint came out the inner C/V popped out the gearbox, so pushed back in, now it as an oil leak. Are they usually that easy to pop out and damage the ...

iv done it!!
power steering pump didn't need removing. the auto tensioner did. it was a pain to remove but easy to refit. Hardest part was refitting the belt.

Is there a guide on how to remove a dodgy alternator on a 2003 2.0 hdi?
Iv had a quick search but was unfruitful. Things look very tight and any guidance would be helpful.

im concidering buying a set of 17" tsw razor of a mate, they are et 18 off a 306. 206's are et 20-25 ? would that 2mm cause me much grief or could i get away with it?

only bought the car on sunday, the guy advised me of the issue, knowing how the french are with electrics i doubt this is the 1st 1 its happend to.

there seems to be quite a few sub 1k, but as you say condition will be suspect...
iv been told the 1.4 as issues with turbos, is that true and a common problem?
i need to point wifey drives a 2000 ...
