What is the best way to check for air the cooling system and how to let the air out if any. That is one thing I have never tried... Will it be enough to run the engine with the cap of ... |

Hi - you might be right.
I just think: The mechanical thermostat opens when the water is too hot. That is good. But if it gets "stuck" in the open state -then the water keeps flowing and cools the wa ... |

Often the heating/cooling works with no problem and the temperature goes up to normal.
