I'm looking at scrapping/ Breaking my 2000 2.0 HDI and trying to make the most cash i can off it.

Just to update this, it turned out to be the alternator, replace it and its fine now. |

need a new alternator pronto, does anyone know if they are interchangeable between specs?
I have a 2.0 hdi but cant find a used one locally. but there is one off a 1.6 petrol local.

yep mine's similar, day to day. the highest ive seen it was at 90 after a few hours driving. |

same as the release bearing, mine does it too. and used to to it on my 106 until i couldn't bare it anymore so had the clutch and release bearing changed. |
