Conclusion
Sorry to hijack this topic but so many times I read posts with same issues as me and there has been no conclusion...very frustrating.

Eventually under pressure test the water pump did ...

update

Mechanic found puddle overnight so he is now aware there is a leak but says it's not the water pump, when asked what is it then he isn't sure...the investigation continues.........

car been back to garage and has behaved all day sods law, gonna leave it with them overnight and tomorrow morning to see if they get anything in the way of coolant leaking......

Looks like my leak is coming from water pump area but only just been fitted 2months ago WTF !!!!!!!

Any solution to this as I have just developed a similar problem car leaving wet patch....don't use air con, can see drops from plastic that travels round top of sump but am unable to see any trace apa ...

temperature seems to hover around 70 during running.....it will increase if i leave it.

Being a 1.4 auto petrol can anybody advise if this is normal as bonnet feels hot to touch ???

I did just read your fault code reading post, gonna give it a once over tonight and see if that alters things I doubt it but it needs a service

Car had temp issues changed thermostat and temp switch, slightly too late as car developed oil leak from head gasket.

New gasket/ head skimmed, new timing belt and water pu ...

As an update noise was tappets, returned it back to Shaun and he confirmed he booked me back in and adjusted at no additional costs since then had no problems.

Can t recommend him enough sound blok ...

Just as an update.....car is noisy after the headgasket/timing belt and water pump work.

Read a few posts and people seem to relate it to auxiliary belt/tensioner/pulley roller....I'm hoping prici ...

Was just trying to cost up few bits including that......done a search for motor factors and has come up with a variety of hits do they have a website or a site in the sheffield/rotherham area

I'm looking to change it I've been on both GSF and Euro carparts I was looking at the continental ones on euro.....but there are 3 different part numbers ? and no way of deciphering between them
