Thank you for your replies. Genuine CATs are fitted I believe. The car is in the garage on Friday for its MOT so I will have a diagnostic done then. I don't hold out much hope for an MOT pass but yo ... |

You are right - I actually only do short trips in the week - the train station and back and maybe a little further at the weekends - 5000 miles a year on average. So yes that does sound like it doesn ... |

Hi David, Yes you were correct as it was indeed the clutch. I took it to the garage on Thursday and it was repaired and ready to collect on Friday - for the grand total of £265 plus VAT (ouch). But ... |

Hi David
I am afraid I do not have a clue as to what kind of clutch the car has. It is a petrol engine and I have had the car over 6 years now and it has never had a new clutch during my ownership ... |
