Sometimes it's a missing tooth sometimes it's a small cut out load on the engine would also effect ignition timing, air flow and various other things so the ecu would understand but when there's an an ...

The ecu knows how many teeth should pass through the crank sensor for each given firing stroke (as the piston is coming back down) if there's s misfire there is no force pushing the piston down theref ...

id always do the pump with the cambelt because it might feel tight and fine but its the extra tension and the change in tension from the old to the new belt which will then cause it to wear much quick ...

there not the pistons but i dont think theres anything wrong with that and to remove the rocker cover on those engines i think you need to remove the coil pack

Mine is the same and we had a Peugeot 307 SW at work the other day that was the same I think it's common on peugeots not sure of a way to adjust but if you find one let me know
