4 bulb multifunction display not lighting up

Hi,I’ve got a four bulb multifunction display in my 2001 gti.I can see it working in certain light but there is no back.Ive changed all 4 bulbs but still no joy.Any ideas?.Thanks

Its normally the pins on the circuit board suffering dry solder joints that cause this.

There also prone to the ribbon cable & joints failing but yours sounds good.

Both very common issues with this display.

Need to be skilled with a soldering iron to fix it.

Thanks MrBSI.There doesn’t seem to be any 4 bulb replacement units out there.A few people offering to refurb my unit.

A replacement working 4 bulb display was like gold dust when the 206 was popular as it's a very common failing.

If you know someone skilled with electronics repair ask if they will get there soldering iron out for you.

Its normally just dry solder joints BUT if your not skilled it's easy to damage the unit.
