ok, so with the brackets snapped on my exhaust took it into the local garage and they said it needs a new back box as the brackets come welded to it originally, so new brackets wont help
price they gave was £89 supplied, fitted incl VAT etc. trouble is my exhaust has a tip welded on the end to make it look sportier (as its the GTI HDI trim) but this exhaust doesnt come with that, just a normal downwards angled exhaust end, might look a bit funny.
does this seem like a reasonable price? the part number is PG711C if that means anything.
failing that i could ask a friend to try and weld the bits back together that are still there.

ok cool. how easy are they to fit on your own? (someone with hardly any car knowledge)
just a case of using a spanner to undo and re-do?

Pretty much yes, I'd recommend a new olive clamp from Peugeot (£5ish) and some new rubber mounts, can get them from Halfords for £2.50 each (x2) or about £4 each from Peugeot, however the Peugeot ones are better quality.
