Hi,

Was driving home last night and all the electrics went in my car, then suddenly came back on again. I got a bit further down the road and it all went again.

I got to the side of the road and the hazards weren't working or anything so i started it again and it turned over okay but then everything went again.
Some smoke then came through the steering column and I took out the key and the engine stayed on on a low buzz.

Any clues?

What year 206? Check the main battery earth cable where it connects to the top of the gearbox & then on to the bodyshell.
