Hi,

I have just bought a 1.4 HDI but is really slow. You can hear the turbo spooling but still down on power.

Any ideas?

Dave

On a steep hill it struggles to get above 30 and can't get past second gear as it dies in thrd. On the motorway on a flat section its struggling to keep 70.

Feels to hit a flat spot at about 2500 - 3000 revs

Hi Gents,

Just an update on the power loss problems. The code it brought up apparently relates to a blocked exhaust, more likely to be a collapsed catalyst.

Will be taking it off one evening this week to attack it! One its all cleared out I should be back up and running!

I'll keep you posted.

Check out the exhaust first, otherwise it sounds like the 'maf' is bad, remove it from the airbox and try spraying it with electrical contact cleaner. (dont attempt to clean it with anything else!)
