Hi everyone. My car smells like it is running very rich. Ive been told it could be to do with the outside temp gauge. My dash clock dial unit isnt working. Could this be something to do with it or are there other options to try. Cheers dan

The outside temp gauge isnt linked to the engine so it isnt the cause of your running rich problem.

But your coolant temp sender is, and would cause it to run rich, also if the lambda sensor is disconnected it will run rich

I had my car engine management tested and it had no faults in the system. He said it could be supermarket fuel so he gave me so stuff to put in my tank to clean injectors, sensors ect. It doesnt smell as rich when the engine is nice and hot. Do you think there could be another fault? Cheers
