its started to make a horrid noise when turning the wheel, has started just after the snow not sure if that is related. i'm going to talk it off and inspect it when i have time, are these repairable or a repacement part. i was thinking of just greasing it up.

cheers for that i'll pick up a pair tuesday, dont like using bridgend motor factors as most of their parts are cheap and nasty, i use gmf most of the time

GMF is on Bridgend ind est, north rd. just up the road from my place.
they arent always as cheap but they have more stores and can normaly get thing in teh same day, good service.

Just order some top mounts and bearings from Euro Car Parts. They aren't expenisve. I'd also order some new nuts and bolts for the hub to ball joint and hub to damper connections.
2001 GTi 138, Bilstein Sprint dampers, H&R springs, 21mm Peugeot Sport torsion bars, 22mm rear ARB, Peugeot Sport Group A wishbones, 283mm discs, Goodridge stainless hoses, Maniflow 304 grade 4-2-1 2.5" manifold and system, 200 cell cat, Richard Longman head, 45mm Jenvey throttle bodies, 9.5mm TB spacers, 90mm air horns, Jenvey throttle linkage, Jenvey fuel rail, Aeromotive and Goodridge fuel fittings and braided hose, ITG sausage filter, Radtec custom radiator, Piper Ultimate Road cams, Piper vernier pulleys, Omex 600 ECU. Saxo electric PAS pump, Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, TTV steel flywheel, 4.76 final drive ratio, 307 CC 180 ratios. 2019 BMW 530i. 2017 Mercedes C300 convertible.

hub to ball joint shoul be ok, i only had them off a little while ago to change the wishbones, damper connections??????? i'm guessing we call things different here ????

All the nuts are of the nyloc type so should be replaced. Where the damper attaches to the hub there is also a nut and bolt. I'd replace them too.

I bought one from GSF and it was £50 per side! I found mine had completely shattered from rust, not good!

The actual top mount bracket are £50.58 each from Peugeot / Citroen

cheap ebay top mount bearing won't last long.
