I'll probably end up with RM's TBH, not that that's a bad thing, they come up for sale more often than RS's and are a fair bit cheaper, aswell as looking very similar. If a cheap set came up needing a refurb I know I'd be tempted.... split them, send the barrels off for powder coating, and buy new wider dishes, then re-assemble Very Happy . Sounds easy in theory!

OZ Turbo's, again, pretty rare, there's a set for sale on eBay right now but as usual the centre caps are missing, and I don't think the offsets are too friendly in terms of adding bigger dishes.

These came up for sale recently for a good price:

Slice of camber anyone? Nom Nom Droolage! You'd need some flaring/rolling to fit those bad boy's?

And RM's are just as beautiful Thumbs Up

I reckon with the right offset 8.5J rears would go straight on, I'm running 8's now and they're spaced 12mm which is basically half an inch, so I know there's at least 12mm inner clearance to play with, and I'd use the same size tyres.

Two more things ticked off the list today, replaced both door check straps, so no more horrible loud cracking noises when opening the doors, and I've also fitted a new side repeater, old one let in water which damaged it. Only small things but every little helps!

The VW Parts guy knocked some money off for me aswell, unprompted, because he felt sorry for me about the whole headlight issue Laughing , so that was nice. He recognises my reg now when I ring up for parts, I'm a regular!

Rear tyres on the TH Mono's need replacing, so the car is back on the Bathursts, first time I've seen it low on the Bathursts too...

Tuck...

Looks quite decent but I miss the stance. Now the Mono's are off I will hopefully be getting them refurbished, don't want to run the Bathursts for too long as I fear the camber will kill the Yokohama S-Drives much quicker than it killed the Nankangs that are on the Mono's!

That's the plan mate, I'm hoping the £20 a wheel price still stands?

Wheels are at the powder coaters.

Played with the coilovers for the first time today, absolute doddle, didn't even have to take the wheels off. Wound the front down another 3 turns Smile

They're not bad, rears sit so far in though as standard which looks a bit cack. Looking forward to getting the Mono's back on. Had a slight set back with the tyres though, I ordered 2, and then got told by the tyre place that one of the other 2 'good' tyres was scrap aswell as it's scrubbed on the inside, the joys of negative camber! So now I'm thinking it seems silly to have 3 new tyres and one old one so might end up ordering another 2. On top of this my MOT is tomorrow so money is tight Sad

Passed the MOT with a couple of advisories, one of my brake discs is warped and binding on the pad, knew it was warped anyway so no surprise. Other advisory was a surprise though, got told there's nothing holding my exhaust on in the middle, ripped off its hangers so presumably I've caught it at some point!

Took this pic earlier to show the new front end height:

I'm now thinking it's made more of a difference than I first thought, just looks so right now I reckon! Hope the Mono's don't foul the arches when they go back on now!

Hmmm I think the pic has come out a bit small lol, must have scaled it down too much on my phone before I uploaded it.
