Basically my abs and esp was playing up over the xmas period the usually abs and esp lights flashing then in january the red stop light started to flash and i lost all abs function, ive replaced both abs rings as they were cracked which didnt solve the problem i then discovered the idiot who last worked on my car hadn't hooked the abs sensor up correctly and it had been rubbing on the driveshaft and frayed right through the wire, so i went and got another sensor which got rid of the red stop light and the esp light but the abs light remained on .
I had the gar plugged in and diagnosed today and it came up with abs speed sensor open circuit low voltage and another low voltage fault i had these cleared but they came straight back on when i drove the car, has anybody got any ideas as to what i should do to cure this problem. sorry for the essay but its really starting to annoy me now lol .

Hansnt blown a fuse or something daft like that? ? ?
I know the ABS & ESP are the same unit but I wonder if the systems are fused individually?

Worth a try are all the fuses for the abs under the bonnet or are there some in the car ?

thanks mr bsi bit of a silly question but where abouts are the maxi fuse bm 34s located ?

The BM34 fuse box is under the bonnet next to the battery
I take it you know about working on a multiplexed Pug & what not to do with the battery connected? ? ?

my money would be on a sensor, best getting it onto pps to read live data to see what sensors are doing. just had to put one on mine with very simular issues

I had this fault and had to replace a wheel sensor, was making the abs cut in at strange times, i think each sensor on each wheel controls speed, abs, esp, arb and probably more.
I good diagnostic machine will pinpoint the exact sensor.

would a faulty sensor make the abs pack up all together though ?

If the lights are on the dash and the centre consol announces a problem then i guess the system can shut down!!!

It wasn't a blown fuse its looking like it could be 1 or both of the rear sensors, are there abs rings on the rear or is that just the front ?
