Update , I did what I said I wouldn't ...

Some of you may remember my old 180, and the fact I go against the grain. I have bought another Simota CAIS!

Here's my old engine bay ;

The kit;

Yep that's the link.

Takes a while to come as it's from America, my first one was slightly damaged but hopefully this one will be good.

It's not his fault it's the packaging, he just sends it as he has it.

Update the kit arrived, it's currently fitted using the stock bend & oil breather whilst I work out how to remove the bottom part of the air filter system, it's overly complicated on the 180's IMO.

Anyway I have no pics of it fitted but maybe later I'll try and get a vid up!

It sounds REALLY beefy, sounds lounder than my old one but I think it might be down to the fact the airfeed isn't fitted yet.

Also the carbon is MATTE not been laqured unsure why, but it looks good still.

PIC lol

That induction kit looks good. I was going to buy a replacement cone filter but this might be a nicer option, not too expensive either?

Brian.

I'm happy to say that the induction kit has made a HUGE improvement over the stock filter. It's definitely not placebo effect! it felt like it was being suffocated before really flat power delivery now it has a punch to it and feels like it wants to go!

Sooooooo happy for £120.

Seriously though, unsure about actual power gains unless I got a before & after RR but for the actual driving experience it's made SUCH a difference it revs so freely now, I also cleaned the throttle body too actually loving it now sounds like it's on Roidz pops a little more too lol

So today I cleaned and had the Simota fitted properly, bad news on the wind deflectors one of them arrived snapped Sad

Heres some pics of the car with the kit fitted & cleaned, it's had a good old clean no machine correction though.

The usuals but no machine or clay.

SLR pics at a later date cba to go downstairs and get it out of the car to upload haha

I'm at FCS but on the 'PerformanceTorque' stand

Jamie
