Hi Guys!
I have had my GTi 180 coming on 2 years and have had no problems whatsoever, and the other day i got the dreaded 'ANTIPOLLUTION FAULT' and the engine management light came on while driving along.
I initially did a search on here and a few people have said unplug the VVt sensor near the engine oil cap ...it worked!! Then the problem came back within hours, i then tried cleaning the sensor too, it was clean but did it anyway ...still no luck
Now i get about 15 minutes out of the car before the misfiring starts and rough sounding engine with little power.
...anyway, so i took a reading of the fault codes. This is what i got:
STORED TROUBLE CODES
P0351 - Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
P1153 - Unknown Diagnostic Trouble Code
P1158 - Unknown Diagnostic Trouble Code
P0123 - Throttle Position Sensor/Switch A Circut High Input
P1161 - Unknown Diagnostic Trouble Code
P0121 - Throttle Position Sensor/Switch A Circut Range/Performance Problem
P0075 - Intake Valve Control Solenoid Curcuit
PENDING TROUBLE CODES
P0351 - Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
I then assumed some of these may be old so cleared everything and then started the car to see what would come up and i got the following under both Stored and Pending trouble codes...
P0351 - Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
P1160 - Unknown Diagnostic Trouble Code
P1161 - Unknown Diagnostic Trouble Code
I just wanted to know if anyone could help me read this data and fix my baby!!
Thanks in advance

Could have been old fault codes though that weren't cleared. If he cleared them and only the intake mani code came back....

The first lot of errors was mainly because things like..
P0075 - Intake Valve Control Solenoid Curcuit came up when i unplugged the VVt plug. My current issues seem to be those two above.
I even bought a coilpack for £140 so have that going if anyones interested lol

i'm just lost and dont know what it could be!

cars running fine so i fixed something but no satisfaction as i dont know what i've done lol
problem is now.. when i try open the car up a little and put my foot down i get 'antipollution fault' and i am limited in the amount of throttle i can give it.
P0121 - Throttle Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Range/Performance Problem.
...any ideas what could be my issue and what i can do, seems i'm constantly taking 2 steps backwards and i'm hping this is the last of it
EDIT: getting it on the computer i can clear the fault and continue my journey until it happens again but cant put my finger on what it is

...does anyone know what could be wrong? or even know where the Throttle Position Sensor is on a 180?
Could it be possible the problem is in the pedal box as there must be some kind on a sensor that sends the reading to the throttle body? ...could be in need of a clean?
