Hello all,
Calling out to the 1.4 HDi owners really but if anyone knows...
Owing to the rubbish design of the fuel lines running under the air-box on the 1.4s they tend to rub through....mine are getting to that point.
I had the air-box off the other day for one thing an another and found that its really worn through the corner part.
Don't really want to be caught out with this so looking to replace them sooner rather than later.
Anyone know where these two fuel lines could be bought from...
I rang a direct Peugeot dealership...they wanted £125 odd...pretty specialist thing though I guessing as Kevin Coopers and Pat Williams don't do these.
Haven't gone down the breakers route yet because most ones I've seen like to keep the engines in one shape unless they have been cannibalized before.
Did think to get some universal rubber hose and run my own around the back of the engine...worse comes to worse I might have to 
Any one else suffered with this I be grateful in how they sorted it.

no comment on this but if you want to make your custom fuel line please make sure you use proper hose!
use at least SAE 30 R9 grade hose (SAE 30 R10 is better)

have you tryed easy parts as they dont mind people removeing parts from engines

yea will use the proper stuff if it comes to it...would like to keep it standard to save hassle....i'm guessing they're the original pipes from new so if i could source another set it would probably see the car out 
154,000 miles and still going (touch wood) had it since 103k so its sorta part of the family now
Easy Parts? where are they based? are they pretty cool with people just going in with some tools and taking parts off and pay on the way out??

Ive got the same problem! From what i can see its two vacuum lines that wear away, not anything with fuel in!
As a temporary fix, ive used self amalgamating tape to seal the air leak until next weekend! Ive managed to find some Festo pneumatic pipes that sem to be of the same size, so my plan is to trim the original pipe as it comes out of the pump, and then use some connectors to join the new pipe in. Whilst everything is off, i will also be cutting off the sharp edges to the airbox to prevent future damage!
The chap i spoke to at Peugeot said that the replacement pipework they supply (which comes with priming bulb etc) uses a thicker pipe than the original, however it still doesnt cure the issue of the pipes moving around under the airbox! When new pipes are fitted, you will have to clamp them down tightly (possibly with tie wraps?) to prevent any other wear.
Certainly a crap design by peugeot there!
