OK, I'm after a O/S rear bendix caliper for my 2004 HDi GTi.
(Like this part, but don't trust the picture)
Sadly finances limit me to second hand. My problem is most sellers of second hand calipers don't know which type they have.
So can anyone give me some simple identification differences between the 3 calipers. Or does anyone here happen to have a bendix O/S rear caliper for sale ?

The only difference I know of is the lever that operate the handbrake on the caliper. I'd be surprised if they weren't interchangable.

Probably right Edward but I'd prefer to have a matching pair. Also potentially I may have problems when needing pads if one side is bendix and the other bosch or girling.
Edward do you by chance know the identifying difference of the lever on the bendix caliper ?

The hydraulic side of my rear caliper is made by Bosch. The metal U shaped part that wraps round the caliper is made by Bendix!
I'll find some pictures of the differences. There are barely noticable.

V9977, Service box will tell me what I have fitted but I have that info already.
If I look on ePray they're endless second hand calipers but I need to be sure that it will match the N/S caliper.
Edward, So you think that I could buy any caliper and just take this U shap part off mine and it'll be fine ?
Does that also mean all rear 206 calipers use the same pad too ?

You think you'll be able to see it easily?

You might possibly be able to see the caliper brand here...

Sweet, cheers for that Edward.
Just a case of waiting for a reply from my wanted ad on here or a reply from a few ePray sellers.
Hoping to pick one up for less than 20 UK sheets.

Don't forget, what somebody might call a Bosch caliper could be a Bendix to somebody else as the caliper has two parts.

I'll go by what is cast in the back of the caliper as per your picture.
I'm hoping ECP and CP4L have correctly identified it as a Bendix. I'll try to stick my head under the car tomorrow to see the name on my caliper but thinking about it I doubt it can be read without taking it off.
Maybe I'll try to log onto service box like V9977 suggested and try to double check it. Seem to remember having problems last time I tried to log onto servicebox.

Spot the difference with the handbrake lever.

Looks like the lower picture shows a more pipe shape (circular) handbrake lever/arm.
So are you saying the calipers are the same on these 2 pictures and just the handbrake lever/arm is different ?

Did find this interesting diagram though.
