Hi there,

Having horn issues with my P206 2004.

I have verified a few things.

Visual check on all bonnet fuses (including F13 15AMP which is the horn) - all look good.

I get an audible clicking noise back to the fuse box area when I press the horn - i'm thinking this rules out a connector issue inside the car under the airbag?

I Jacked the car up and removed the horn assembly from in front of the grill.

Using an 11.1v Lipo RC battery I was able to verify that the horn works fine.

So considering the above points I believe that the issue is somewhere between the fuse assembly and the horn.

I'm thinking about cutting the connector off (the one that connects to the horn itself and jerry rigging it with two spade connectors to see if its the car side connector (female) that is the issue.

Any suggestions or faults highlighted in my thought process would be appreciated.

The horn connector plug is a known weak spot on the 206. A suitable replacement plug is a couple of £ of EBay. The wiring normally rots out at the connector plug.

Okay thanks, hopefully will get a chance to address the connector this weekend; not really looking forward to doing a wire splice n crimp job in such a tight spot but i'll give it a shot!

Will post back with results once done!

So I've got this sorted now.. It was indeed the wiring / connector. Huge carbon build up on the positive wire and oxidisation inside the actual connector which I split open. [img] [/img] I sanded the carbon down on the exposed wire, attached some spade connectors and put it all back in place and it's working perfectly now
