They do look good, bit more upmarket than the V-Maxx ones I had last time but then they should for the money they cost! They're actually different colours to all the pictures I've seen, which show them with green springs. I would imagine the yellow springs on them are the same ones that come on the KW V1's which cost over £600 as they're yellow too, and these Weitec's are apparently made by KW anyway, so I presume the springs are identical - no bad thing at all as the ride quality of the KW's get rave reviews, so I look forward to seeing how good they are!

I think the chassis will be sitting on the driveshaft before these max out, that's usually the limiting thing on Lupo's without having a chassis notch done. With the rear I think people usually fit them without the adjusters in as the rear never goes as low as the front will, I need to check this though.

Might be a case of lowering the front until it's knocking the driveshaft, then raising it slightly, so that it's basically as low as is possible without it constantly knocking the driveshaft! I'd like to think I can still drive it hard when I want to and not have to worry about doing any damage.

On another note, I keep thinking about having the Mono's powdercoated red. I'd kind of planned to have it done anyway but was going to run them as they are for a while, one thing that concerns me though is a couple of the dust caps are seized on so I can't put any air in the tyres if I need to, so it makes me think I should maybe have them refurbed sooner rather than later to get the valves changed, and the wheels are a bit tired looking, need freshening up. Hmmmm.

DO IT! would tie in with the red around the grill and the red rear lights i think.

is it fine removing the helper springs? just remove it then wind up to the bottom of main spring?

Looks grim sorry mate.

There seems to be loads of chavs around with brightly coloured wheels on their fiestas and corsas and it just looks cheap and jank. Stick to silver...

Personally I think the wheels look pretty good in red. Only problem is you may get some unwanted attention.. Wink

The reason they're different to the pics is that Weitec have changed their colour scheme slightly this month. We taken some new pictures that we'll be uploading to our site shortly..

Thanks for the opinions on the wheels, it's still something I may look to do in future but for now it looks as though I'll be running them in their standard satin black colour.

I guess part of my reasoning for wanting to change the colour is the fact that my car is almost a carbon copy of the one in the Photoshop Embarassed . I didn't intentionally copy it but when the wheels came up for sale I couldn't resist, oh well. I do really fancy the red refurb though, it's not something I'd do purely to make it different!

John, yeah you should be fine removing the helper springs, never heard of it being a problem anyway.

kamracing, cheers for the info, and cheers for the coilovers Smile
