It has come to the attention of the staff that a minority of members are spamming the boards to boost their post count.
It is unacceptable to spam the forum, as it soon clogs the forum making it harder for everyone to search and quickly find info. This is unfair to all members, and goes against the ethos of the site.
A lot spam posts have been removed by the staff recently, and this is a time consuming job - time that could be spent improving the site in other ways.
Members are reminded that any posts that is seen as spam will be removed by the staff. These include
general chit-chat in any area apart from 'Free Chat',
any posts that are irrelevant to the OP's question/topic,
double posts - if you need to add to a post please use the edit button,
forum 'games' that are designed to boost post counts.
We welcome all posts that don't contradict these simple guidelines, and want to keep the site a friendly and social place too.
Remember, it is not a race to see who can get the highest post count, accumulate stars or reach 2000 posts to get coloured stars. Neither does a high post count show 'seniority' over other members.
No action has been taken against these members yet, but persistent offenders will have action taken against them in some way from now on.
