New yellowstuff pads are now fitted. I have the new R formula pads and they actually work from cold now. Quite impressed with the life of the old ones, 6000 miles most of which was abuse.
The old pads finally died just as i had finished my last run at Blyton, one of them lost its friction material.
6000 miles is impressive
would like to see how the new pad behave

I adjusted mine after it was welded and if you do it correctly aint too hard to re adjust but best to get it perfect first time

I think i will keep a closer eye on them this time. I cant believe how lucky i was, just pulled out of the circuit when the grinding started. Was a ball ache driving home with no brakes though.

Due to the bump i may have to cancel blyton at the end of the month but fingers crossed the physio works some magic.
As for the car, the quick shift is now fitted and working. It feels a bit strange at first as putting it in 1st, 2nd and 5th has a bit of a curling motion...but its a lot quicker.
The brakes are much improved, even over the last set of yellowstuff i had in.
I had an hour with the old girl last night doing some small jobs that were essential. all bodged tho!
1) refitted interior light.... using a tywrap.
2) put a tube on the heater outlet to direct air into the footwell as i got frost bite at blyton last time out.
3) fixed my brake light again.
Comedy pics to follow this eve after Ive put the 15's back on the front, maybe put the airbox back on and sorted out the footpad.

just a note, i'bve read many times harnesses on c pillars aren't the greatest of ideas.
some rear end you and that area of the car crumples, all of a sudden those tight harnesses get slack.

As for the harnesses I wouldn't use them on th road due to the rear ending issue and you would look a complete clown...oh and they're not comfy. However although there is a risk of having a big rear end shunt on track its fairly low compaired to the advantages the harness gives you in other situations on track.

No doubting it. Hence there will be a pair of omp trs's arriving in the spring to sort that very issue.
More than likely a customcages roll cage with harness bar also.
I just refuse to spend money on the pug when its better spent elsewhere (house, bike, others cars, trackdays etc).
If I was ever concerned by the harnesses I would just use the seat belts I left in for road use.
Having seen what the seats bolt to in peugeots I'm quite confident I'm no worse off with the harnesses.
