But as you say you like it and that's ultimately what matters.

It's got a lot going on and I would say stick with two colours not three. I just don't like red and white though so that's proberly affecting how I see it.

It's fairly simple, open the boot door and there will be two long bolts, undo the nuts and then place a spanner flat against the end of the bolts and lightly tap the spanner with a hammer on each bolt and slowly tap it out eventually pushing those two bolts through to the other side and the light will just fall out. Then just disconnect the windscreen washer hose and power supply. (1st time doing this will be difficult due factory fittings)
