Hey,

Would people be kind enough to do me an airbag related favour?

Before everyone thinks uh oh, airbags, all I'd like people to do is turn off their passenger airbag, then turn on their ignition? (don't forget to switch airbag back on when finished Smile )

Reason: In the manual it says, with the passenger airbag switched off and ignition on; the warning light, accompnied by an audiable signal and message passenger airbag deacticvated on MFD indicates the passenger airbag is disarmed.

My car doesn't make any sound or display any message Sad (tho the light comes on)

Do other peoples (make sound, show message)?

Thank You very much!!

I can try when I get back to the car, but TBH I suspect you'll have had a response or two by then!

Thanks for the responses so far; more appreciated.

Any ideas why mine doesn't (can I still be sure the airbag is off?)

Will try that soon, it's an 03 if that helps.

Like I say the light comes on and stays on (well did for a quick 20min drive), but there's no beeping or message when I start ignition, so I'm not sure whether the BSI (is it the BSI?) is aware that it's disabled.

bit off topic but does anyone know how to turn the beep and the light off if the drivers airbag has been removed?
