Another one Shocked

Wow they are getting rare these days - i've not seen one round my way for a good while and now I know why.... because you have got them all! Laughing

Looks a good one - I look forward to the WIP. Just reading the one off the 309 forum. Wink

Looks a really good Brian, i prefer that one to your Goodwood. Always liked the 309 GTI

I love this Ecosse one but i know you'll think that it's sacrilege to do that to a 309 lol

another brilliant find Brian. i, like you, like the older cars. something about being able to feel how a car drives and the interior not being so crowded is what i like..

good times!

Wheres the Goodwood, do you still have it? (sorry if this is mentioned elsewhere...)

Still have it, she lives in a lock-up and will be declared sorn till May. Then after that i'll just keep taxing it for 6 months, sorn for 6 months etc because I have no intentions of driving that in the colder/wetter months anyway.

apjs87 - it's very true mate. It feels like a grown up go-cart! I came off a fairly tight slip road near G's house and he was like "oosha that was 50mph around there" and I didn't even notice Embarassed It's a wolf in sheeps clothing when it comes to handling/grip! Very Happy

Geoff - I'm not as bad as some on the 309 forum! There's a guy with 3 goodwoods, 2 3dr's and a 5dr. Another guy with THE ONLY Dimma Goodwood there is...plus another 2 goodwoods...and a silver 5dr 309 gti. Some people need 3 or 4! I will just stick to 2. But if i bit the bullet to put £1200 wheels on one...

Just found a built thread for it which I haven't read yet...mmm yummy. www.peugeotforum.be/vi...mp;start=0

Graeme - that would have been nice 10 years ago, it might not be quite as bad really if it didn't have that rear spoiler and those wheels. Still though, would you spend that kind of dosh on a 309 to make it look like that or spend it making it in as good condition as possible throughout? Tends to be the latter for most people these days! Or the euro front of which i have seen about 2....the other one is a rat 1.3! lol.

Very Happy

The black one is epic apart from the exhaust Wink , I'd love to see some BBS RS or other sexy splits on your GTI Brian!

205 GTI next then? To add to the collection. Lol.

Pics of the Dimma one?

Wasn't saying for you to put a kit on it, i just put that photo up because i liked it :). To produce something like that now would be very dated. If i were you i wouldnt modify the exterior atall, just keep it a nice clean example. Have you thought about a leather retrim of the seats? similar to the black 205 Ecosse did which was at FCS 09.

I saw the black Belgian 309 at FCS 08, its a cool looking car

Nah, as 206T16 suggests Ross, I won't be modifying this one over standard at all. Its on spax coilovers, has a k&n cone filter intake and that's about all it'll get!

The dimma...

205's are for losers... Laughing

I seen the black one after it was just completed at Ecosse too, it's absolutely stunning! I won't be getting a re-trim of the interior because 1. It's immaculate and 2. It's rare as hen's teeth! The only way they'd be getting changed is if by some miracle I got hold of some 309 GTi-16 half leather ones which i can't find pics of Sad

Here's a little more info on the car and what it's had done:

Tailgate replaced (other one was dented to bits)
new cambelt and tensioner
new waterpump
new metal water pipe
new radiator
new thermostat
new plugs
new distributor cap and rotor arm
new chrome rocker cover and gasket
new o/e oil filter
new afm
new exhaust from manifold back
new air horns
new front bumper fitted
new fog and driving lamps
new discs and pads all round
Painted inner wings and front end
Spax Coilovers fitted

And some of this action...

This was all done a year or so ago, so it's not quite as clean now but i doubt it would take too much effort to spruce it up to the same standard again using an all purpose cleaner or the like Smile

Yeah I had a flick through - thats mental!... where do they store them all!

Yours has a good WIP from the previous owner. The only thing to watch will be the head gasket especially as he didn't skim the head. But as it hasn't gone again then it should be fine. Wink
