Looking good Bri! Is the sun roof standard fit? It looks a strange composite of a standard car sunroof and a panoramic like seen on the 206.
Yeah most 309 gti's came with sunroofs, it was a standard item, especially on the later models to give them a selling point.
There are a few phase 1 non sunroof models which are HIGHLY saught after
Addaz - that i am fully aware of...however did you look at the underside Pics?? Aint no rust/water etc there. I promise

This was left in the carpark outside!

#80: Re: I need to stop buying 309's...here's a pretty blue one.. Author: Lecktorious, Location: ScotlandPosted: Fri Jun 18, 2010 4:59 pm ---- Quality! Someone offered to buy David's 309 at FCS too! They offered 3 grand which I thought wasn't bad...but it's not for sale

#82: Re: I need to stop buying 309's...here's a pretty blue one.. Author: Lecktorious, Location: ScotlandPosted: Fri Jun 18, 2010 5:09 pm ---- Brian, I'll offer two packets of Smokey Bacon Walkers and a 206 that's had more hits than the Beatles.
Deal?

Probably not as much as I paid for it! This is a fairly long term run-about then it'll be a full blown OTT project, it's rare in this colour etc etc so it's defo not for sale!
Yeah £3k for David's car is ace considering what he paid for it! He loves that car too much though, even with his chav can of exhaust and aftermarket car matts...i joke i joke
Alan - nah, the guy that wrote the note works for Jewsons. If both him and I worked at the same branch of Jewson's he'd chat to me and not leave a note surely lol.

at least you know people out there would be willing to buy if the time came you did decide
to sell, even more so when you've finished all the refurbs
I still think the 309 is one of the best pugs. the look, shape, and performance for a car of that time.

#88: Re: I need to stop buying 309's...here's a pretty blue one... Author: Brian, Location: VVT Land, FifePosted: Mon Jul 19, 2010 1:27 pm ---- haha. Good plan with the sign/sticker! I've done hardly anything to it since i bought it though apart from paint the wiper arms and fitted the roof trim! Need to replace the passenger side solenoid and window switch...it goes down but you can't put it up again yet you can put it up n down from the driver's side! It probably just needs a clean but the switch i have bought feels noice! I need the solenoid so that all doors open/lock with central locking. Cheap fixes to big problems Gotta love old skool motoring.
#89: Re: I need to stop buying 309's...here's a pretty blue one... Author: Brian, Location: VVT Land, FifePosted: Tue Jul 27, 2010 2:22 pm ---- I haven't really been doing much to this car recently! Here's some exciting stuff i have bought (or got free of charge) recently
I managed to stand on 2 of the little bolt covers for the wiper arms (£Free) the passenger door window switch will put the window down but not up. I hear they usually just need a clean but got another one anyway. The passenger side actuator has worked once with the central locking since i've had the car
My parcel shelf is quite faded so i got an improved looking one.
Along with the parcel shelf i got a poverty spec gear knob that looks like a miami leather gearknob but it's rubbery plastic! I'm trying to preserve the miami gearknob (even though i can't figure out how to get it off and have just presumed this one i have will fit!) I like-wise want to preserve the steering wheel so looking for another gti one to keep the current one looking great as it's only been on the car for a year and a half.
