Either Onyx (non-metallic) - ON PHASE 1 CARS, or Onyx Metallic [aka Obsidian] - ON PHASE 2 CARS
The actual black is the same, but obviously the metallic has metal flakes in it (which makes it look lighter)

black is a colour. Metallic is a finish, not a colour.
So only one COLOUR (Ryan asked how many different colour blacks are there?)

You have the solid black which is EXY and you have the met black which is EXL
So there is 2 blacks.
Metallic is not a finish it is a base coat that has metal flakes in.

Obsidian is definitely a touch lighter. llama's (Alanah) old 206 had the 2 different shades on it and she said herself that it looked horrendous and it was noticeable even though she bought the car like that!
In my books...there are 2 shades of black, otherwise Peugeot wouldn't have called them (that's 3rd person plural) Onyx Black and Obsidian Black.

My Onyx (non-metallic) GTI had metallic black sideskirts which made the skirts lighter in colour - even though it was still Onyx black (but metallic).
