just reviews to be honest mate. ran a k&n in the 1.4tsi golf and made a lil improvement but then tried a bmc and it just felt alot more punchy and less restrictive.

plus few guys i no run bmc instead of k&n as they find now you pay for the name.

The k&n has 47 pleats and the bmc has 31 (no doubt I counted wrong, but near enough). It does look like the material on the bmc goes further to the edge, whereas on the k&n the glue seems to have been put on quite messily.

 
 


Just some food for thought. Would be intersting to know the depths of these aswell. May ask to have a look at them both at eurocarparts and make my mind up there.

yeah well thats what i was gonna do until one day we were standing round and 2 my mates have scobbys one with the k&n one with the bmc. and looked at them both and (somehow) they came up with that they would both prefer the bmc. same with people with rs turbos s3 tsi's etc all prefer the bmc. i think its less restrictive.
