plus few guys i no run bmc instead of k&n as they find now you pay for the name.

It does look like the material on the bmc goes further to the edge, whereas on the k&n the glue seems to have been put on quite messily.
Just some food for thought. Would be intersting to know the depths of these aswell. May ask to have a look at them both at eurocarparts and make my mind up there.
