Saves 1/10th second per gearchange over an H pattern box and no missed gear shifts.... only drawback is that its tough to find 1st if you stall or spin
Grin factor....... priceless

#401: Re: Macs rally 206 project..New upgrade plans Author: Harry, Location: StaffordPosted: Sat Feb 01, 2014 12:43 pm ---- That's what I always thought - goodluck starting again if you somehow spin and stall in 6th!
Does look very tasty I do love the gear change action of them.

I have not kept accurate tabs on the cost... Bear in mind I blew up the first engine on a tarmac event and broke a gearbox on a forest event.
Approx total to date, without both repairs, about 11k
That's engine, box, suspension, mapping, rolling shell and wheels/tyres.
#403: Re: Macs rally 206 project..New upgrade plans Author: macj, Location: EssexPosted: Thu Feb 20, 2014 5:48 am ---- Spoke to charlie at CTM Performance Engineering this morning. He wants the engine out for a little freshen up..... and a little more power. She will be getting some cams this time as the sequential box will use the power further up the range.
He seems to think we could end up with a monster engine after the last build power figures...... should be good
All in time for running in at FCS:)
#404: Re: Macs rally 206 project..New upgrade plans Author: usher, Location: northallertonPosted: Fri Feb 21, 2014 12:15 am ---- how much more can be squeezed now lol thought it was near enough at the max for the gti engine
#405: Re: Macs rally 206 project..New upgrade plans Author: macj, Location: EssexPosted: Fri Feb 21, 2014 12:27 am ---- I have no idea...... leaving it in his capable hands
