I think they came with it from new, but second hand, no - people will keep it for themselves. The size the holders are in the boot is for the medium sized can, but from the instructions on the rear (for 17" wheels) you need the biggest can.

If you have one, check it's still in date!

EDIT: just checked mine, they were made in 2003 and don't have an expiry date on them

If you've got a GTi 138 you should have a spare wheel lol
But if you haven't then yes - it sounds like a good price
