#1: Fuel Consumption info from handbook Author: continentalgt, Location: Paignton DevonPosted: Wed Oct 06, 2010 5:30 am ---- Hi there I have just bought a 52 reg 206 1.4 Hdi and am still learning about its features.
In my handbook there is a page (155) which is titled "Technical Data" and shows a diagram giving various locations of serial numbers etc.
In my case paragraph "E" says "Fuel consumption* in the corner of the windscreen" and then states "*According to destination"
When I look at the car on the outside drivers side bottom of the windscreen I see two lines one above the other with a dot on each one, I cant find any further reference to them anywhere else in the handbook.
Does anyone know what these lines mean or how they are supposed to work?
Many thanks

Pictures may help

#4: Re: Fuel Consumption info from handbook Author: continentalgt, Location: Paignton DevonPosted: Wed Oct 06, 2010 7:01 am ---- Just tried taking some photos but not possible to get a clear image due to reflection on the windscreen and the fact that the lines are relatively faint.

If you read the handbook (i dont know, never read one), it probably says some s**t about aerodynamics adding 10mpg to the car or some bollox like that
Be a normal person and just drive the car, dont be a a**e reading instruction books

Cost him nearly £2000 and was without a car for 4 weeks.

Thats a bit ironic considering you had a signature in the past that said "read the manual"!

#16: Re: Fuel Consumption info from handbook Author: Steve206, Location: UKPosted: Wed Oct 06, 2010 2:57 pm ---- According to destination means in some countrys, it would have to show the MPG in the window. Not here in the UK though.

I think you're probably right and as Antix posted earlier they look like they're for wiper alignment as I now notice there's another line with a dot that lines up almost perfectly with the end of my parked nearside blade.
