#1: Hdi d turbo Author: sicskate, Location: Margate, KentPosted: Sun Nov 07, 2010 12:20 pm ---- I've seen the above local for £1000.
Its done 128k but has a year tax and 1 year mot.
I'm thinking o down grading my 138 gti to this as I have a son and only one wage at the moment.
I'm just wondering if the price suites the mileage?
Also, it's diablo red, as is my gti, so I could swap everything over.

#3: Re: Hdi d turbo Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Sun Nov 07, 2010 12:22 pm ---- If its been serviced and looked after well, the engine will outlive you, they are like tanks.
Just make sure the cambelts been changed at least once
#4: Re: Hdi d turbo Author: sicskate, Location: Margate, KentPosted: Sun Nov 07, 2010 12:29 pm ---- The current owner has a reciept for a full service and cambelt.
So all is good?
#5: Re: Hdi d turbo Author: HDiMan, Location: high wycombe.BucksPosted: Sun Nov 07, 2010 12:51 pm ---- Go for it then..i'd say
#6: Re: Hdi d turbo Author: Seabook, Posted: Sun Nov 07, 2010 12:53 pm ---- if you didn't spot anything wrong on the car then yeah i would go for it.

#8: Re: Hdi d turbo Author: sicskate, Location: Margate, KentPosted: Wed Nov 10, 2010 5:46 am ---- Ok, small update.
The above car had sold just 30mins before I called the guy up.
So I'm on the look out for another.
The thing is, I'm abit confused about the road tax situation.
Some 2.0 hdi dt 90 are only £30 a year?
Can anyone shed some light on why some are cheap and others are alot higher?

The £30 ones are the Eco version.
Mine (which is the older one) is still only £60 for 6months, £115 for a year... Not too bad for a car that returns awesome MPG.
#10: Re: Hdi d turbo Author: Seabook, Posted: Wed Nov 10, 2010 6:41 am ---- those cheap tax version are a lot newer. doubt you can find one for about 1000
#11: Re: Hdi d turbo Author: Mikey2uk, Location: StevenagePosted: Wed Nov 10, 2010 7:05 am ---- Mines a 04 and it £120 for 12 months. If you are looking for the ECO one you will need to look for one with the green I in the HDI badge
#12: Re: Hdi d turbo Author: joe_hdi, Location: BlackburnPosted: Tue Nov 16, 2010 3:21 pm ---- I picked up my 2.0 HDi for £1600 with 87000 on the clock. Got chucked in a free service. Got the cam belt done straight away. Average of 50mpg even with giving it a bit. The only thing that I hate about mine is the tax - £180 for 12 months. However it is a W reg so emissions will probably be poor. Keep looking, sure you will find something.
#13: Re: Hdi d turbo Author: Seabook, Posted: Tue Nov 16, 2010 3:30 pm ---- i pay 200+ for road tax. X reg.
