Hi,

As you may know my car was broken into and my passanger window was smashed. Got one sorted in a scrappy, just need to know how to get it lol.

So what tools do I need, how long will it take and more importantly - what do i do?

JD

If its like a 205, then a selection of sockets, 10mm sounds right & screwdrivers.

Undo the window mechanism and pull it up and out, the seals may need pulling off too.

Take the door card off. The window on the front is just held in by two plastic clips that you just flick off. If the mechanism needs to come out, then you need a drill to drill the rivets

Yep, 10 mins tops. Infact Im positive you don't have to take the mechanism out, you might have to take the seal off on the window to give you that bit extra room.

I converted rear windows from manual to electric in an hour

Where are the plastic clips that I " flick off"? Colour are they?

They are white. If you wind the window down about a 1/4, you will see them at either side of the window. There are two.

Phoned the scrappy to pick it up and they guy said they only have electric windows, and I have rolling windows, is this a problem?

Also, he said I need a battery charge to move the window cause its a scrap car and I need to "drop the mechanism"

Help me please

The clips are no different (there might only be one on the rear IIRC), but you do need to drop the window. There's an outside chance they may be talking about the front windows being electric and the rears may be wind down, but sounds like you better get hold of a spare battery!

And removing the window seal at the bottom is the quickest / easiest way to be able toget the window out once you've unclipped it.
